More about
Southern Frontier Country Band
Formed in 2022, all five members are experienced musicians on the Leicester music scene. Lead vocalist, Emma and drummer, George, both formerly played in Metal bands, while bass guitarist Phil Hughes has played in many bands, most recently a David Bowie tribute act. Lead guitarist, Phil Koeberle, can also be found performing in his 60s party band. Last (but by no means least) is rhythm guitarist/harmonica player, Dave, whose previous experience comes from playing in a Motown/Soul band.
Southern frontier’s current repertoire includes songs from Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Kenny Rogers, Chris Stapleton and Shania Twain, to name a few.
We have gigged extensively throughout the East Midlands and in Leicester City Centre. Our audiences are a mixture of young and old, country and non-country fans and we have gone down extremely well with people dancing and singing along.
