Spent twenty years on the professional cricket circuit representing Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Somerset and Tasmania.

Peter spent two decades as an opening batsman, often facing some of the world’s fastest bowlers—though not always successfully! Despite the challenges, he amassed nearly 20,000 runs in first-class cricket, including 45 centuries, and was the top run-scorer in English cricket during the 1992 season.

After retiring at the end of the 2004 season at the age of 41, Peter transitioned into a successful career in corporate law. Before that, he served as captain of Somerset for two seasons and even played a pivotal role in the early career of Australian cricket legend Ricky Ponting, coaching him for three years.
