Ex-British Lion, Martin debuted for England in 1991. Also represented the Barbarians, Midlands and British Police sides.
Martin, the former British Lion, made his debut for England in 1991 and played for the national team until 1998, when a serious neck injury forced his retirement from rugby. During his distinguished career, he was honoured with the Rugby Football Player of the Year title.

Over the course of his career, Martin earned 31 international caps, featuring in both the 1992 and 1995 Grand Slam-winning teams. He was also part of the 1995 Rugby World Cup squad, playing in the crucial match against South Africa, and was selected for five out of six tests. Martin further cemented his legacy with the British Lions, taking part in all three tests during their historic 1993 tour to New Zealand.
In addition to his international and Lions appearances, Martin represented the Barbarians, Midlands, and British Police sides. His club career included stints with the Metropolitan Police RUFC and Bedford RUFC.
Beyond rugby, Martin has written for The Daily Telegraph and provides insightful commentary as a broadcaster for Radio 5 Live. He has also dabbled in acting, with a notable role in the Harry Potter films.
